Following its successful launch in 2008 which honored Magic Johnson and Eva Longoria Parker Dallas Rocks 2009: Diamond Dinner will be an exclusive benefit dinner and auction, followed by a festive after party. Proceeds will support the work of the Diamond Empowerment Fund® (D.E.F.), a non-profit organization founded in 2007 to raise funds for programs that empower through education in African nations where diamonds are a natural resource. D.E.F.‘s first beneficiary is CIDA City Campus located in Johannesburg, South Africa. Hosted by entrepreneur and philanthropist Russell Simmons, co-founder of D.E.F., along with special friends, Dallas Rocks will harness the compassionate energy of leaders of Dallas’ social, sports and business sectors, as well as the international diamond and jewelry industries.
