About Step Up’s “I Dream to…” Photojournalism Program
Step Up’s signature “I Dream to…” Photojournalism program helps underserved teens explore the careers they dream to pursue. Step Up Women’s Network draws on its diverse network of professional women to give the students an opportunity to meet with, interview, and photograph a woman in the career field of each student’s dream. The culminating project is the teen’s very own gallery display and blog.

About Step Up’s “Ladies First” Media Awareness Program
Step Up’s Media Awareness Program engages teen girls in the world of communication and consumerism. Students gain an understanding of the many facets of media and how it relates to their lives. They explore the processes and connections behind television and radio commercials, print ads and online media. For the final group projects, students create their very own book, expressing their unique voice and creating positive images of teen girls. To support the program, order a copy of the book here and bring your book to the opening for the Step Up teens to sign.
