Troy Davis’ stay of execution is set to expire on May 15. On May 19, groups and individuals all around the world will be organizing demonstrations, vigils, teach-ins or other public events to show the state of Georgia that the execution of Troy Davis would be an unacceptable travesty of justice. We need you to be as visible and as loud as possible!

The main purpose of your event is to demonstrate your solidarity with Troy Davis, and your support for justice in his case. And to show the state of Georgia that the whole world is watching!

ACTIONS: Please consult www.amnestyusa.org/troy for the latest action directed at Georgia government officials. You, and everyone at your event, can spread the word by texting “troy” to 90999; you will get a return text telling you how to take action that you can forward to all
your friends!

THEMES: “Shout from the Rooftops” – emphasize your outrage at the injustice in this case; you could even hold a demonstration on a rooftop …

“We Are Troy Davis” – emphasize your solidarity with Troy Davis to make the point that what our justice system does to him, it does to all of us …
