Common Ground in Santa Monica is the only comprehensive HIV agency serving the west side of Los Angeles. We provide free HIV testing, needle exchange and other services.

HIV Testing Counselor
HIV testing counselor conducts HIV testing and risk reduction counseling as well as provides referrals to other harm reduction/prevention services. Extensive training is required to become State certified. One year minimum commitment.

Street Outreach Volunteer
Conduct street outreach to homeless youth, drug users and others at-risk for HIV in Venice and Santa Monica. Requires extensive in-house training and the ability to walk/bike for several hours at a time. Six month minimum commitment.

Speakers Bureau Volunteer
Committed and diverse group of individuals providing comprehensive and up to date information about Common Ground’s mission, the services we provide and basic HIV 101 education to people who are affected, infected, and/or interested in learning about HIV and other STDs. Must enjoy public speaking. Requires training. Hours will vary. 6 month commitment.
