From June 13 to 19, 2010, an inspiring team of 40 women and men from across the country will attempt to summit the 14,179-ft. Mt. Shasta with the Breast Cancer Fund’s eleventh major mountain expedition.

Climb Against the Odds is both a personal endeavor to honor the courage it takes to face the disease, and a collective effort to prevent breast cancer. We climb as a team, knowing that there is more we can achieve together than apart.

From the moment you apply through the moment you reach your personal summit, you will be fully supported in training, fundraising and climbing Mt. Shasta in Northern California. In addition to the Breast Cancer Fund’s support, you will be assigned a training leader, mentor and regional team to assist in reaching your goals.

Climb Against the Odds team members will be required to fundraise a minimum of $6,000 for the Breast Cancer Fund; a registration fee of $1,750 is also required to cover your expenses, which include expert mountain guide service, accommodations in Mt. Shasta and a portion of the equipment and rental gear needed for the climb.

As a climber, you will be directly supporting the Breast Cancer Fund’s innovative programs and policy initiatives that aim to stop breast cancer before it starts.
