    Drupal Wizard

    Job Type & Location: Contract to Full-time. Santa Monica, CA

    Job Description: Immediate opening for contract to full time Drupal Developer to work on Causecast's migration to Drupal. If you want a job that makes a difference, Causecast is the place for you. We are working with dozens of nonprofits, the Obama administration, companies and activists as well as Hollywood and the media. We're giving nonprofits new ways to raise funds and become far more efficient.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Expert-level experience with Drupal:
    • Drupal 6 required
    • Drupal API (especially Form)
    • Themes / phptemplate
    • Drupal module development & customization
    • eCommerce (Ubercart primarily although eCommerce experience is fine)
    • Video player and CDN integration
    • Migrating databases

    • Expert-level experience in cross-browser issues and compatibility
    • DHTML, CSS, JavaScript (AJAX, jQuery), MySQL, PHP
    • Linux / Windows / Mac environments
    • Actionscrpit 3, Flash / Drupal integration, Linux systems experience a huge plus
    Duration & Salary: 3 Months / DOE (the goal is to find a candidate who will transition into a full time team member)

    Executive Intern

    Job Type & Location: Full-time and part-time positions available. Santa Monica, CA

    Responsibilities:

    • Working closely with the CEO, President and Vice President on existing/potential business relationships on CAUSECAST
    • General admin support
    • Preparing marketing materials & media kits
    • Travel coordination for executives
    • Conduct & present background research on potential partners
    • Prepare materials for senior staff meetings

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Ambitious, confident
    • Combination of business and creative interests
    • General office skills , MAC OS
    • Ability to conduct research on the internet
    • Understanding of sensitive and confidential nature of the position
    • Ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and deadlines
    • Educational concentrations in business management, New Media, "Cause" Marketing", communications, knowledge of brands in the space a plus

    Web QA Intern

    Job Type & Location: Full-time and part-time positions available. Santa Monica, CA

    Job Description: This internship offers you the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic workplace. We are looking for an ambitious and driven individual to join our team as a Web QA Intern. The Web QA Intern will work closely with various team members in the Product and Development departments to learn and provide overall support for web development projects. The Web QA Intern will report to the Director of Product and Development for guidance and daily job duties. This is an opportunity to gain valuable work experience and insight into our business, while developing and demonstrating your skills in the web development process.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and document product specifications for use by development team
    • Write QA scripts for web development projects and conduct QA tasks
    • Create and maintain technical documentation
    • Assist in day to day development and maintenance of the site
    • Assist in setting up and maintaining IT infrastructure
    • Represent Causecast at technology focused events and gatherings

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
    • Strong interest in open source technologies, web technologies, online media and distribution
    • Extremely detail oriented and out of the box thinker
    • Experience with programming languages and database management strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge of any of the following a HUGE plus: Drupal, MySQL, HTML, CSS, PHP, Subversion

    Product Team Assistant Intern

    Job Type & Location: Full-time and part-time positions available. Santa Monica, CA

    Job Description: Causecast is looking for an ambitious and driven individual to join the team to assist Causecast's Product department. This opportunity is for someone who loves to organize and provide structure to people and processes. You will be assisting the Product Team identify and execute ways for the team to work efficiently, improve time management, and increase department productivity! The Product Research Intern role is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of a hardworking, supportive and enthusiastic team and showcase your abilities within a high growth web environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the Director of Product
    • Development and Project Manager on implement business management best practices
    • Schedule appointments and manage the project calendars
    • Prioritize tasks and ensure deadlines are being met
    • Manage documentation and research
    • Prepare and distribute materials for meetings
    • Travel coordination for Product Development team

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Eagerness to learn and contribute whenever help is needed, whether the task is large or small.

    Web Research Intern

    Job Description: Is TechCrunch your favorite website? Do you watch live video streams when Apple reveals the latest and greatest Apple products? This internship may be just for you! Causecast is looking for a web savvy and driven individual who is passionate about technology to join the team as a a Web Research Intern. This is an opportunity is for someone who is interested in taking an in-depth look at the latest and greatest trends in web development, social media, non-profit technology, technology development, and web 2.0. This internship offers a flexible schedule working from our office in Santa Monica and telecommuting from home.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct in-depth research on best practices for web and web 2.0 development
    • Research and report on latest trends and developments in the digital space (websites, applications, video, social networks, advertising, etc.)
    • Conduct & present background research on potential partners
    • Manage wiki for Product Research material
    • Provide weekly briefs to the business on recommendations based on research
