  I am organizing a Livable Streets Initiative in Boulder, CO and am inquiring if you and Bicycle For A Day would like to be a part of it. We are working with the mayor of Bogata, Columbia, Enrique Penalosa on this. Having someone of your influence and integrity would be a major help in making this a success.   Dear Matthew -

  My name is Baird Duschatko and I am the Creative Director of Bands For Lands, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit based in Boulder, CO.

  I wanted to contact you to let you about our plan and mission to promote and teach methods of sustainability, conservation and social responsibility to local communities across the country. We are in the process of converting our 24ft. box truck/mobile sound/visual media stage to SVO and solar power, and are presently raising funds for the conversion.

  I thought it beneficial for both of us to form a partnership/sponsorship in order to increase both of our promotional campaigns and opportunities for public outreach. Bands For Lands has a full schedule of April/May appearances in the Denver/Boulder metro area and a growing calendar of events scheduled for the summer months. April 11th we will be appearing at Denver Vegfest, and will be a part of Whole Foods Earth Day celebrations at various Colorado locations at the end of April. Late September/early October (date TBD) we will be putting on the endOtrend Festival (www.endotrend.com) at the Auraria Campus (housing three campuses) in Denver. This festival is projected to draw 5,000-10,000 attendees. Per your request, I will send our current event schedule.

  As we are a nonprofit organization, we are approaching you in an effort to secure sponsorship in the form of financial support. In return, we can offer much in the way of the promotion of your non-profit. We will prominently place your logo on our mobile sound/visual media stage, on all promotional literature, our website, as well as mention Bicycle For A Day during the start and ending of each BFL event. We project to reach tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people throughout CO and the Southwest this summer. Our vision is to travel from small rural communities to large cities and towns (as well as Green, Music and Film festivals) throughout the nation for 10 months out of the year beginning January 2010.
