Today I went to Westmead Children’s Hospital to get my weekly labs done. The hospital was really cool with lots of play places, Starlight Foundation room with movie and games and even a large outside playground with a “human checkers” game. I was excited to play there but when my labs came back I got the news that my labs ( my white cell count and defense against infection) was really low. I was so bummed because we had to cancel my plans with the Australia Red Cross and Australia Bone Marrow Donor Registry for the next few days. I even had plans to go to the Australia Zoo and meet Bindi Irwin and I can’t do it!! I have to rest in the hotel room and can’t do anything so I am sad. But I feel good, just tired, so its not so bad. All of the people who go through transplants have to do this for more than 6 months with never going out or being around people so I really can’t complain!
