Rory's Stance on Prop 2

Four years ago, I moved from New Jersey to California, and I've never
been happier. The food, the people, the weather—it's everything I
dreamed it would be, and more. Don't get me wrong: I'm a proud Jersey
girl, through and through. But there's never been a more exciting time
to be a Californian. One of the measures on the ballot for California
residents is Proposition 2, which proposes more humane treatment of
farm animals who are raised for human consumption.
I'll be honest: I'm a vegan, card-carrying PETA member, and in my
version of a perfect world, everyone else is, too. But you don't have
to be a hippie-dippy, animal rights activist to see why voting YES on
Prop. 2 is the way to go. Right now, calves, pigs, and hens are
confined in cages so small, they cannot even turn around or extend
their limbs. Proposition 2 will simply give these animals a few more
