  • Recommended Vaccine Schedule

I'm posting this to help educate parents as to the *recommended* vaccine schedule. Look at the PDF'S and really pay attention to the timeframes.

If you choose to vaccinate, note it is YOUR choice how many and when. I wish I knew I could have spaced out ... peds normally just want to get it all done at the earliest age. There's no need to get more than one at a time and you can choose to give them later than the pediatrician will mostly likely tell you. YOUR BABY, YOUR CHOICE. It is still America. 4 at once was it for my kid at 4yrs old.

Here's the recommended schedule for 0-6 years - NOTE THE TIMEFRAME YOU HAVE - THEY CAN'T NOT LET YOU PUT YOUR KID IN DAYCARE/SCHOOL FOR NOT HAVING THE SHOTS AT THE LAST POSSIBLE AGE: http://www.cispimmunize.org/IZSchedule_Childhood.pdf

Here's the schedule for older kids: http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/schedules/downloads/child/2008/08_7-18yrs_schedule_pr.pdf not quite sure what "catch-up" immunization means.

They also recommend the flu shot every year - it still has mercury in it. I wouldn't go near it.
