Why I Participate

On Thursday, June 11th, I will be on the first-ever A CAUSE FOR COMEDY, a live-streamed monthly comedy series, combining nonprofits and comedy together to raise funds and awareness. This months show is going to be at the Hollywood Improv, and 100% net proceeds from tickets are going straight to this months nonprofit, NextAid. In addition to host Ben Morrison (Punk'd), this month's line-up has Dan Levy (Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” “Chelsea Lately,” “The Late Late Show”), Bryan Callen ("MADtv," "Sex and The City"), the beautiful Whitney Cummings ("Chelsea Lately," HBO's "Down and Dirty," "Made of Honor"), Daryl Wright, and a musical act by J Chris Newberg. If you're in LA, come out and watch me at The Improv. Tickets will be able be $10, $20, or $50. The only difference between the tickets is how much benefit NextAid receives. If you're not able to come to the show, no worries, Causecast is letting everyone join in by streaming A CAUSE FOR COMEDY LIVE and FREE via their partner Stickam at ACauseForComedy.org.

About Me

Born in Manila, Philippines, Bryan Callen made his television debut as a series regular on "Mad TV" and the HBO prison series "OZ" . He was recently seen as Kirstie Alley's wisecracking assistant on Showtime's comedy series Fat Actress. Callen has appeared on several television series including "Sex and the City," "7th Heaven," Stacked, "King of Queens", "Las Vegas," "Significant Others," "West Wing," "CSI", "Law and Order: SVU," "NYPD Blue," "Suddenly Susan," "Frasier," and "News Radio," among others. In addition, Callen has appeared in such feature films as Bad Santa and Old School and has performed stand up comedy on several TV shows including Late Night with David Letterman.
