Over the past several months 1000 people have been killed and 500 children have been abducted in the D.R of Congo. This past week I had the opportunity to go to D.C for How It Ends with the Invisible Children, Resolve Uganda, and Enough. While there I was able to talk personally to Senator Kit Bond about S. 1067:Lord's Resistance Army Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act of 2009. I also had the opportunity to hand Senator Kit Bond Missouri's Rescue letters from the Rescue event back in April. Talking to Senators about the war in Africa was very empowering and showed me how much we can make a difference by raising our voices.
