"Lock it Up! No, YOU Lock it Up!" Don't get your hopes up QUITE yet, we aren't crashing the Trump wedding or anything, but you're definitely putting your head to good use. Today, in the office (I'm presently a marketing intern at Causecast), all the buzz is on the Locks of Love event (http://www.causecast.org/events/206-donate-your-hair-to-locks-of-love-at-cristophes-salon) in the ever-so posh Beverly Hills, CA. Get ready to chop it up or shred it off, we're donating your silky strands to people who need it more than you do!

For those of you who don't know what Locks of Love is, let me fill you in. LOL (how could I resist that acronym?) put simply, is a non-profit organization that brings together people who have an excess of hair (minimum 10 inches, tip to tip) to those who are in need of it. Specifically geared towards children, LOL brings the gift of hair to financially disadvantaged kids suffering from long-term medical hair loss of any diagnosis. Christophe Salon, in Beverly Hills, CA, couldn't pass up this opportunity to put their sheering skills to good use.

Now, let me tell you about a man named Ryan. Story goes that Ryan Budke, Programming Manager at AOL, was tired of the same-old, same-old with his hair and decided to do something useful with it. For two years, Ryan's been growing out his hair with the intention of donating it. Today, he's setting that ponytail free. Accompanying him on his journey in the swivel chair is our very own Levi Felix. Though Levi's hair isn't long enough to give to a lucky youngster, he has two evenly split reasons to chop his hair there: 50% of the proceeds go to Locks of Love, and he gets 50% off his new-do! He's going for a mod-mullet look, though, I'm really hoping the stylist decides he's not fit to make such a grand decision and just shaves his head. Otherwise, he needs to prepare for my constant ridicule in the office. My East Coast sass WON'T go easy on him.

We couldn't let the event go unnoticed, so obviously we'll be livestreaming it at www.thefinalcutdown.com. You can watch a video of Ryan getting ready to part with his hair, or maybe just stalk the cuties that are going to show up tonight!

    'Til next time,
