Dressing with your soul

I have realized you are what you wear. Whether you like it or not the first thing people notice is your appearance. Instead of continually trying to be keep up with latest trend (and yes I do love the So. Cal. scarf trend-it does get cold and they are fun to play with) what you wear can be your greatest advertisement for what you believe in.
So before you go to some big corporate store to buy something that supports sweatshops, child labor and boringness check out these sites:
http://acholibeads.com/store/ For every women they partner with 20 displaced Acholi people benefit -I love this because all the women in the program said domestic violence has drop dramaticaly as a result!
http://nuintentions.com/ Empowering women worldwide -I love this because they aim to inspire other businesses and entrepreneurs to become socially aware, both internationally and in their own communities.
http://www.fallingwhistles.com/ Make their weapon our voice and be a whistleblower for peace in Congo. -I love this because lets be honest whistles are so fun to wear and this a story and needs to be shared.
http://www.tomsshoes.com/ Get a pair of shoes-Give a pair to a child in need -I love this business motto, the shoes are so comfortable, and does not require any shoe tying skills
http://www.invisiblechildren.com/home.php first check out the site then go to the store -This org. opened my eyes and changed my life forever.
http://www.jedidiahusa.com/community This is not just a clothing company but it exists to draw people into global change through writing, art, and humanitarian involvement.
