Why I Participate

I love to share ideas and find new ways to connect with my peers and especially those that I may not have a direct connection with. I believe that possibilities are limitless once ideas start flowing and creativity is shared.

About Me

I'm a film/animation/video student at the Rhode Island School of Design, currently in my junior year. Having grown up in a household that stressed the importance of an active social consciousness, I've always had a desire to contribute something positive to this world, and what better way to do it than through a career devoted to reaching audiences in an easy and entertaining way! I believe that media including the film/video industry should not only be responsible as far-reaching source of entertainment, but contribute a positive and proactive message to its audiences. esides trying to promote a positive message in my work

My Interest

I discovered my passion for film/video the summer before entering high school, and have since then aspired to secure myself a position in its industry as a means for reaching out to and communicating with vast audiences. Recently, having finally ascertained a sense of independence that accompanies college life, I've decided that it was time for me assume responsibility of my skills, talents, and passion to better the world I exist in. I've been helping fellow students with community-based projects through my own volunteer work: I'm actively participating on the campus-wide project What We Do, which hosted an event to share ideas by promoting inter-departmental presentations and discussions. I worked as a volunteer videographer to preserve and document a series of presentations in my assigned space, and am looking forward to seeing my work on the blog: http://whatwedo.risd.edu/weblog/ Additionally, I'm looking forward to seeing the results of an in-progress endeavor called the RISD Water Initiative; a project devoted to promoting the importance of clean and available water to everybody, beginning with our very own campus.
