Why I Participate
"there is no bigger smile than the one that appear across your face as you anticipate the first bite of what is before your plate" - as told to me by a many persons. / I love food -- i may not be the best cook but i love all aspects of eating. gathering of company, perusing the menu or list of ingredients, preparing for the meal, and at long last, devouring the grand presentation. therefore it is of my utmost concern when millions are without food. world hunger is a devastating crime and we should do everything we can to eradicate it. i especially think if we were to eliminate world hunger, it would gradually lend itself to solve all other serious problems. abolishing world hunger is at the forefront of my causecast wishlist.
About Me
undoubtedly the number one question i get about me is about my name - its origin, reason for my parent's assignment, and whether it's convenient to not have to come up with a stage name if so needed. best part is that it usually ignites a stranger's need to belch out his/her favorite rendition of a familiar lola song - often it's the kinks or the barry manilow, and at times the one from damn yankees. i don't mind it though because who doesn't like being serenaded? plus, when you're as tone deaf as i am, you gotta get your singing from elsewhere since it ain't coming from within. so w/ my name as an easy introduction, i hope to inspire people to sing (to me) or to their favorite cause.
My Interest
all things related to improving our world. Thank Heaven for the brilliant masterminds of causecast. i've followed your launch from up close and afar and i must say, "well done, bravo, love the site - ideology, content, videos, and my personal fave, the magenta c." I am so relieved and grateful that finally people have collaborated to create such an energetic platform that adds substance to our world.

Hi Iola,
I agree with your "Why I Participate" section. A lot of children are unable to go to school for longer than 3-4 hours a day because they do not even have enough calories to stay awake!
