About Me

Maegan Carberry is a journalist who blogs about politics, media and technology. She has contributed to The Huffington Post, CauseCast, Editor & Publisher, among other sites, and is the co-host of Variety’s “Wilshire & Washington” program on Blog Talk Radio. Maegan previously worked as Arianna Huffington’s chief of staff, where she ran the west coast offices of The Huffington Post. Prior to that she was an advertising sales executive at The Los Angeles Times and a reporter and columnist for The Chicago Tribune ’s RedEye edition.

My Interest

Maegan lives in New York, with her enormous and lovable cat, Scarlett O’Hara. She is a zealous UCLA basketball fan, followed closely by the Chicago Bulls, da Bears and the Dodgers. When she’s not on political adventures, at tech conferences or hunched over her BlackBerry twittering, her nose is usually in a Paulo Cohelo book. Or you’ll catch her performing JoDee Messina songs at karaoke bars. Originally from San Diego, CA, her father, Ed, is a college football coach and her mother, Dianna, is a high school administrator.
