Why I Participate

My thing is teens and college age young adults serving people both in the United States, and in countries abroad..The needs may be construction, repairs, painting, helping in feeding centers, daycare, churches, or other things for the area. This is physically going, meeting the people, and serving them. We help in meeting their needs, whether it is physical, or spiritual. Another plus, is although some of the finances to go and serve are paid individually by the participants, the majority of the funds are raised in a group effort. What really makes me get involved with this type of mission cause is that even though we can help fill great needs for the people we serve,the benefit to the teens and young adults is often life changing. The people served, give back to us more than we give to them.

About Me

In support of an upcoming mission project, July 11- 18, 2009, I have set up a website, My Heart For Honduras, and an accompany blog. I am part of the team. We will be serving the people in the area of San Pedro Sula, Honduras. And will be doing light construction, working in feeding centers, daycare, and churches, and whatever other needs there are at the time.

My Interest

My passions are, Jesus Christ, family, grandchildren, missions, working with teens. I am interested in investing in Real Estate, and have recently helped several families with their real estate problem. I enjoy learning more about social media, and the beneficial uses of it. I also like quilting, stained glass, cake decorating, and interior decorating.
