Protest the Military Coup in Honduras
Reinstate Zelaya! Cut Off Aid to the Coup Regime!
    Action at CNN in Hollywood

    Friday, July 10, 11am
CNN Building: 6430 W Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles
    (Corner of Sunset & Cahuenga)

Since the illegal, right-wing coup in Honduras over one week ago, hundreds of people have hit the streets in Los Angeles to support the Honduran people's struggle to overturn the coup. The U.S., while publicly mouthing opposition to the coup, has yet to cut of military and economic aid to the fascist coup regime in Honduras. The results have been grave, despite heroic action by the masses of people.
Three people were shot to death at the Tegucigalpa airport and many wounded on Sunday, July 5, as they gathered to welcome the plane carrying President Manuel Zelaya. 120,000 people had marched to the airport. The Honduran military fired numerous times upon the peaceful protesters, minutes before Zelaya's plane entered the airport's airspace. At least three people were killed, including a 16-year-old youth. Zelaya's plane was blocked from landing by military troops blocking the airstrip.

Friday's protest in Los Angeles will demand Zelaya's reinstatement, and the cessation of all aid to the coup regime. The U.S. government and its media mouthpieces, like CNN, must respect the will of the Honduran people, not the military junta brutally repressing them.
