Why I Participate

With all the bad that goes on in the world, we want to do something to make some kind of difference. So, if it's anything small like a donation or a free song to download that's the absolute least we can do. There aren't enough people in the world who contribute to the greater good, but someone inspired to be passionate can do so much good. Simple things can change the world , but only if you do them. Seriously!

About Me

SKELETEEN specialize in heavy bursts of sound, with guitars that tease with tranquility, then assault with deafening onslaughts of noise. They deviate from traditional song structure with propulsive backbeats that stop and start when least expected. Searing guitars strive to suffocate ethereal vocals. Voices waiver between airy and scary, and aren’t given preferential treatment above other instruments in the mix. A Skeleteen performance is something that should be experienced rather than explained: heavy, seducing, and extraordinarily loud! Skeleteen is currently back-to-basics with Kyle Justin and Matthew Eilers as core members, enlisting help from live musicians. Recently, with the aid of LA-based independent label Future Static, the band digitally released its debut mini-album "No Fun Intended", preceded by a remastered version of their self-released EP "Bury the Seasons". At the moment, Skeleteen is out of California to record material for an upcoming release. They will be back in Los Angeles, playing once again, summer of 2009.

My Interest

Midnight Mission, ASPCA, PCAA, Somaly Mam Foundation, ACLU, music, the arts, experimentation, non-proft organizations, making a difference, instruments, amplifiers, volume, feedback, heavy noise, tranquility, thunder... oh, and puppies and orchids!
