Why I Participate

I'm always up for a friendly debate. I am trying really hard to discover, while we all really want the same things fundementally, how it is that our country has become so divided. I am a truth seeker, but it's really hard to find the truth. It seems everything is so slanted now a days. Information is either really far right or really far left. I'd like to see some moderation in the media. People have become so brainwashed that you can have a video or an audio clip of something someone said and yet depending on who is telling the story, completely twist that person's words..people hear what they want to hear, which is rarely the truth. I want my children to grow up in a safe enviornment, no matter what it takes. If that means extreme measures when it comes to those who wish us harm, I'm okay with that. I want our economy to thrive so that my children have the opportunity to succeed without government controlling their lives. I want a clean enviornment, but not based on lies and deceipt that only make people rich off scare tactics and exaggeration.

About Me

I'd really like to see a 3rd party in this country. I am not an activist, but I'm really sick of the slanted politics and media alike. I have been a registered Democrat my entire life, but recently changed my party affiliation to Independent distancing myself from both parties. I am more moderate than right or left. I am pro-choice, support gay rights, animal rights, agree with cleaning and doing my part for the enviornment (but believe Global Warming though it exists, is a farce and a Marketing ploy at the moment) I have no religion to claim per say, and believe in social programs that the conservatives don't necessarilly agree with. At the same time the Dems go to far in my opinion. I think bigger Government is a ticket to destruction of the Country so I do not support Obama in his efforts. I've worked in the Managed Care Healthcare Industry for 20 years, so I can say with certainty if the Government gets control beyond what they already do, we are in for trouble.
