Let’s Bottom line this discussion from a parent who feels that their son was vaccine injured. I am now awake at 2 AM because Tanner wants to use his bed as a trampoline. One more time for the new comers. Tanner spoke. His last complex sentence was “My name is Tanner. My name is Tanner” July 4th six years ago. We delayed his Kindergarten vaccines because we thought their might be issues but did so on solid medical advice that he would be fine. This sentence was the last after his shots. Move ahead six years to June 2008. His doctor had committed suicide. A defeat Autism Now Doctor looked us in the eyes and said in the exam room that he believed that vaccinations and environmental factors played a role in Tanners Autistic condition. After diet and supplement changes he spoke again for the first time the week before Father’s Day he said “Hi Daddy” . Is America the land of freedom, hope, love and opportunity. Nobody listens to the parents. We are not hysterical radicals. We want the world to be free of bad diseases and our children to be healthy. We want your children to be healthy. The establishment refuses to do the research we request. Has secret meetings. Rewrites their own studies. Gets stars to call us parasites. This is an epidemic that has been ignored by the medical community, education, insurance, Religion, politicians, and the Government. Support, therapies, and funding have been virtually nonexistent for these children. Come live at my house for a week, then give us your opinion. I would be satisfied with a chance to take my wife out to a dinner and movie. That has not happened in about 8 years now. Who are you going to trust??? The paid shills of the Pharma industry or Parents asking for unbiased studies for safer vaccines and environment. Until we all stand up united the almighty dollar will send someone in your family to never never land. In this case never watch a baseball game, never go to prom, never go to college, never get a job, never get married, never have a love life. In his book Autism’s False Prophets: Bad Science, Risky Medicine, and the Search for a Cure, Offit examines many past and present alternative treatments for autism. He tells WebMD that none of the treatments has held up to scientific scrutiny, but many remain popular because parents have few other places to turn. “Classical Western medicine does not offer much for the treatment of autism,” he says. “These fringe therapies have appeal because there is not much else out there.” Offit adds that very young children with mild symptoms of autism often get better on their own later in childhood, which may explain why many parents believe so strongly that alternative treatment work. “There is a natural wax and wane with this disorder,” he says. “Symptoms that seem very bad between the ages of 2 and 5 may get much better between the ages of 6 and 10.” He adds that promising, conventional research on autism gets little attention because of the focus on alternative therapies. He cites as an example the identification of the specific genes and genetic mutations associated with autism. “This may well lead to treatments in the future, but you never hear about this kind of study because the anti-vaccine people have taken this story hostage to the detriment of children with autism,” he says. THE ONLY THING GENE THERAPY RESEARCH WILL LEAD TO IN THE NEAR TERM IS AN EXPLOSION OF ABORTIONS. Leading doctors have stated over and over that Gene therapy can only possibly be done maybe with those conditions that are not a spectrum and are caused by a single gene defect. This is another reason Offit needs to be stopped. We want hope and treatments that will help our children now. Is that too much to ask?

Tanner and getting him and other children help, health, and quality of life. Travel (not that that has happened in ten years) Chess (speed speed chess 2 minute games) Antiques (because I am one) Having Age of Autism up on my computer at all times.
