This is a world of terrible diseases and conditions. It is made even more sad when some diseases and conditions are avoidable. How can people stand by and watch a generation be lost and just throw up their hands and say we do not know. I have said for a while now that Generation Rescue should change their name to Human Race Rescue. If the next twenty years is like the last... We went from 1 in 10,000 diagnosed with Autism to 1 in 6 with a cognitive delay. There are areas of the country that have rates as high 1 in 70 diagnosed on the Autism spectrum.
This morning I was doing my usual catch up on the latest Google and Yahoo news. I found article after article showing the wide variance in the equity of research dollars going to other conditions. I found one British study 3 to 1000 in Autism vs Cancer. I know both are terrible and both need more research. I am sure they will figure out one day we brought on most cancers by things we did to ourselves. My feeling is we know we did something to ourselves when it comes to Autism. There are too many smoking guns... Environmental polution, mercury, vaccine injury stories ( and Recovery). I guess this morning like every morning... I pray for help for these kids. I pray that no more are injured. I pray that the parents keep their sanity.
The article about parents just leaving their 5, 10, and 15 year old child at the hospital is just devastating. We need to provide the tools to support parents who have children with special needs. Lets change the world now. Thank you for your support and love.
