    Obama Biden Transition Project Autism And Health Care Reform Twitter Community Discussion Questions Join us December 23rd All Day At first I was not going to post the questions given to me by Tom Daschle & the Obama Biden Transition Team Project on Autism and Health Reform. I was afraid that would stand in the way of creative and open discussion. I realized after the request that people want to document this historic event and would this would also allow me to gather more questions and post them as well. 24 hours is a long time to keep an open discussion going.

    Please come prepared for an open and honest discussion about Autism and Health Care Reform. They would like to have us all provide links to our own compelling personal stories about the need for health care reform in our community ( I would be happy to take your story to them if you do not have a website email me your questions and stories to Mail@floralnflair.com )

    1. What does the Autism community perceive as the biggest problem with the health System?

    2. How do families choose a Doctor or Hospital? How far do you have to travel for services? Where do families dealing with Autism get information in making health care decisions? How should public policy promote quality health care providers?

    3. Have attendees or their family members experienced difficulty paying medical bills? How can policy makers address this problem?

    4. In addition to employer-based coverage, would the group like the option to purchase a private plan through an insurance-exchange or a public plan like Medicare? Have you ever been denied service? Is there discriminatory practices in the Health Care industry now? Examples

    5. Do families with members on the Autism Spectrum know how much they or their employer pays for health insurance? What should the employer's role be in a reformed health care system? How should pre-existing conditions be handled?

    6.Are families familiar with the types of preventive services Americans dealing with Autism should recieve? Do you feel that our families have gotten the recommended prevention? If not, How can public Police help families who have members on the Autism spectrum?

    7. How can public policy promote healthier lifestyles for families dealing with Autism?

    Should food and supplements be part of the healthcare program for people on the spectrum? Should their be better regulations on food labeling?
