Starlight Help Make Sick Children Guitar Heroes
A 17 year old boy got to live out his rock’n’roll fantasies thanks to Starlight. He didn’t get to meet famous rock stars or go on tour with a band. Instead he got to meet the makers of his favorite video game, Guitar Hero. Craig Henderson, a youth suffering from lymphosytic leukemia and graft-vs.-host disease from a bone marrow transplant won a contest put on by Starlight to visit the Santa Monica, Ca offices of the makers of the game. ”He was inquisitive about everything, and it was amazing to see him so happy,” said his mother. “He was carefree like he was before; it was a break from everything he’s had to deal with.” The winners were shocked to find out that they were allowed to play unreleased brand new versions of Guitar Hero. ”I didn’t expect that at all, and it was awesome,” Craig said, with his face lighting up. “I loved playing the drums.”
