Humane Society Teams Up with Fashion Designer Charlotte Ronson
Designer Charlotte Ronson’s Spring/Summer 2009 show in Bryant Park, NYC, is going to be sponsored by The Humane Society of the United States. While Ronson is already a big supporter of animal rights and HSUS, and gives out HSUS “fur-free” buttons at her store in downtown NYC, she believes thats it’s not enough. By having her Spring/Summer show sponsored by HSUS, she hopes to influence and inspire her friends in the fashion, music, and entertainment industry to take notice of animal cruelty and stop wearing fur. ”I don’t support cruelty to animals; anyway, faux fur can be just as chic,” Ronson said
“We are thrilled to continue our support of Charlotte Ronson and applaud her ongoing commitment to animals and fur-free fashion,” said Kristin Leppert, director of The HSUS’s Fur-Free Campaign.”
