Celebrity Tropical Relief
Matt Damon and Wyclef Jean recently took a trip to Haiti. Their trip wasn’t a vacation, it was to help bring food to hurricane victims. Wyclef, who was born in Haiti, and Damon helped bring in bags of rice, beans and cans of cooking oil. Wyclef is a huge celebrity there while Matt Damon was barely recognized. “It’s nice, it’s really easy to move through a crowd like this,” said Damon. The two celebrities also helped hand out the food they had delivered. They fed around 600 people at a church that was housing the people made homeless by the hurricane. “Hopefully we can make enough noise that people will pay attention,” Damon said. “I truly believe in the people in my country.” Would you ever consider going on vacation and volunteering?
