MTV Focuses On Global Warming
MTV International is planning on releasing 10 PSAs and short films to the network’s 165 channels. These videos were created by Netherlands-based agencies and will focus on global warming. “MTV wants to tackle the issue of the environment in a way that provokes thought and engages the audience,” said John Jackson, director of social responsibility at MTV. “We wanted to show opportunities for change. What are the things that you could be doing rather than the things that you shouldn’t be doing.” The potential outreach of these videos is staggering at around 560 million people in 162 countries.
