NY Mets Hold A "Knitting For Charity" Event
New York Mets fans have knitted hats for babies in Africa and Asia. This is all part of National NeedleArts Association’s Stitch N’ Pitch event at New York’s Shea Stadium. Fans are asked to bring their own knitting needles and they will be provided with orange and blue yarn. The point of this event is to draw attention to the fact that 4 million newborns in developing countries die within the first month of their life.
Do you think more sports teams should hold events like this?
