Stuffed Animal Or Deadly Weapon?
If you walked into a subway station and saw a stuffed homeless polar bear would your first thought be “It’s a bomb!” Well that’s what the Washington D.C. police thought. It turns out they were wrong. The stuffed bear was put there by Greenpeace and an artist named Mark Jenkins. Jenkins said, “We made a series of human-like homeless polar bears and installed them around DC to get people to think about the issue (of melting arctic ice) with more empathy. It seemed people liked them a lot and took pictures of their kids in front of them, etc. But most were removed pretty quickly by the authorities. The last image is one that was met with ill-fate after being deemed a “suspicious package.”
If you saw this would you call the police or just take a picture with it?

I would sniff the bear first and then call for a police dog if necessary.
