Have you ever wondered where condoms come from? Well in Brazil they’ve started making them from rubber trees in the rainforest.

The health ministry says this move will help preserve their rainforest. Brazil has the largest contraceptive program in the world, with the new factory being able to produce 100 million condoms a year. It will also help Brazil so they don’t have to import their contraceptives from anywhere. In the last few years the Brazilian government says they’ve given away over 1 billion condoms.

It’s great to see a country with such a great program for giving away condoms. Does your country give away contraceptives?
