Help Step Up Send Girls to College
Ulibarary.jpg

Step Up is planning our 3rd annual three-night/four-day Bay Area College Tour for 30 Step Up high school juniors. Click here to view our video.

Only 2% of our girls’ parents have attended college, making exposure to college life by organizations like Step Up critical.

91% of the girls who went on the Bay Area College Tour last year applied to at least one of the schools they visited and acceptances are rolling in as you read this email.

It’s a life-changing, eye-opening experience for our teens. The
Bay Area College Tour is a fun and educational experiences that gets teens excited about the possibility of applying for and attending college.

And this year, only with YOUR help can we make it happen again!

How YOU Can Help!
Sponsorship
Is your company looking for a meaningful way to invest its philanthropic dollars this year while gaining valuable exposure to professional women? Budgets are tight this year, we know. But if your company is looking to maximize its investment by underwriting a once in a lifetime opportunity – this is the way to do it. Sponsorships for the college tour program start at $5,000. If interested, contact
Angie Grabski at 213-382-8023 or angie@suwn.org.

Transportation
Step Up is looking for a true philanthropist in the transportation industry to secure one donated or discounted charter bus to transport 40 teens and staff for the 4-day trip.

Dining
Are you in-the-know when it comes to the restaurant biz? Step Up is looking to reduce the cost of meals by dining at eateries that will host or provide a meal for the group. Gift certificates to chain restaurants work well.

College Planning Committee
Are you willing to help us outreach schools in the Bay Area to partner with Step Up and offer our girls the experience of a lifetime? We are shooting to visit 6 schools in 4 days and hope to find departments, clubs and sororities willing to help host the girls on campus (by providing meals, overnight quarters, etc.) and show them the college experience. The Step Up College Planning Committee does this and more! For an application, click here.
