FUEL events in L.A. this weekend!

Humanity only started using oil 150 years ago, yet the world’s economy and infrastructure completely depends upon it. How can we even start to replace this omnipresent commodity?

According to filmmaker Joshua Tickell, it’s easier than we all think, as he lays out his plan in the award-winning documentary FUEL. Shot over the course of eleven years, Tickell traveled America, seeking out alternatives to the oil we’ve been addicted to our entire lives.

The film won the Audience Award at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, and if you’re in Los Angeles this weekend, you can see it with some special guests.

On Saturday, March 14, Mariel Hemingway is hosting a Spirituality and Transformation Night at the AMC Broadway 4 on the 3rd Street Promenade. The screening starts at 7:00 p.m. and is open to the general public.

If spirituality and transformation isn’t exactly your cup of Earl Grey, you can attend another screening on Sunday night at the AMC Broadway 4, hosted by Peter Fonda and Harley Davidson. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. at Duke’s in Malibu. Riders will participate in an “Easy Ride-In” from the restaurant to the theater.

Both Tickell and producer Rebecca Harrell will be at both screenings. L.A. residents: get those Harleys in gear and go see FUEL!
