One of America’s largest green innovation events is taking place this Saturday in Santa Monica, CA. Global Green USA is presenting its 13th Annual Millennium Awards from The Fairmont Miramar Hotel, with guest presenters Rosario Dawson, Antonio Villaraigosa and Arianna Huffington.

The awards honor green innovators whose ideas promote the success of both environmental and economic initiatives. Causecast’s own Melissa Jun Rowley will be there to cover the Green Carpet with live tweets and exclusive video interviews.

Here are this year’s honorees:
-Wallis Annenberg, Vice President of The Annenberg Foundation is receiving the California Environmental Leadership Award to recognize her construction of the first Universally-Accessible Treehouse in a California public space.
-Zem Joaquin, ecofabulous founder, will receive the Founder’s Award.
-Jeff Skoll will be honored with the Entertainment Industry Environmental Leadership Award. Skoll is the founder of Participant Media, a production company that produces critically-acclaimed and socially potent films, including Food Inc., The Soloist and An Inconvenient Truth.
-Marc Nathanson, founder of Falcon Waterfree Technologies, will receive the Green Building Environmental Leadership Award. Nathanson claims to have saved over 66 billion liters of water through Falcon’s waterless urinal systems.

This is truly one of the most prominent events in modern green technology, the Oscars of eco-nerds, and Causecast is proud to be a part of it.

Stay tuned to Causecast’s twitter feed for up-to-the-minute updates on Saturday night, and check back on Monday for a recap of the event!
