How to Take Part in a Shoe Drop

Check out Causecast’s United We Serve page for more summer Do-It-Yourself service projects!
In 2006, Blake Mycoskie founded TOMS Shoes, a company that gives a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair sold. These trips around the world are called Shoe Drops, and you can get involved with him in America and internationally.
•Go to TOMS Shoes and order your first pair of “Stitchouts.”
•Wear your shoes and feel good knowing you’ve contributed beneficially to someone’s life.
•The fulfillment of the one-for-one mission can continue, and you can get involved with Friends of TOMS, an organization that connects motivated individuals such as yourself to help communities benefiting from the shoe drop.
•There are shoe drops every few months or so. Sign up and make Friends of TOMS part of your summer of service in Argentina, South Africa or in New Orleans, Louisiana.
