Win Andrew Bird Tickets by Tweeting @Causecast!

by JONATHAN HARRIS, Managing Editor
As promised, here are some of the best tweets we’ve received so far. These were updated as of 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 3, so if you don’t see your tweet here, check back soon! Never underestimate the prestige of a Causecast featured tweet!

Still sad that you didn’t win those American Idol finale tickets back in May? Don’t worry, because Causecast and The Greek Theatre have combined forces to give you some more musical goodies!
Andrew Bird is playing The Greek Theatre with guests Heartless Bastards and Ra Ra Riot on Friday, July 10, and we’re giving two pairs of tickets to select Tweeters. Here’s all you have to do:
Tweet @Causecast with how you’re serving others this summer. It can be anything, from taking part in a volunteer effort to planning a book drive in your community. If you need ideas, go over to Causecast’s DIY Guide which we put together for this summer’s United We Serve campaign. If you’ve already volunteered with one of our affiliated organizations, mention that as well!
A few ground rules:
• To count as an entry in the giveaway, you have to include both @Causecast and #andrewbird in the tweet.
• You can tweet as much as you want. Since we’re picking the winners at random, the more you tweet the better chance you’ll have.
• Only tweet stuff you’re actually going to do! Joke tweets will be disqualified. (i.e. “@Causecast I’ll spin the world backwards and prevent climate change!” won’t count.)
• Winners will be announced via Twitter on July 9. The tickets are being held at will call, so you’ll just have to go to the box office and give your name. If you’re one of the winners, we’ll direct message you on Twitter, so make sure you’re following us!
Here’s an example, in case you need some inspiration:

So, time to get tweeting and establish a commitment to public service! Good luck to all.
