Causecast Organizations To Be Honored at Noble Awards

by ASHISH SHARMA, Causecast Editor
Let’s face it, celebrities have the best of the best. Whether it’s the fastest cars or the nicest service, it doesn’t hurt to be famous. Hopefully, celebrities are also showing their fans that it’s okay, and even fun, to give back. The rich and famous are using their elevated status in society to support various nonprofit groups and philanthropic organizations. Celebrity support gives a new dynamic for these organizations and enables them to reach a much younger demographic.
On October 18, 2009, the Noble Awards will honor 10 philanthropic organizations and each of those organizations will honor a celebrity supporter. Some of the organizations that will be honored at the awards show will be Keep A Child Alive, The Salvation Army, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the Epilepsy Foundation, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, DoSomething.org and The Art of Elysium.
The Noble Awards is set up by the Celebrity Charity Awards Corporation and will be held in the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The show features live musical acts and Hollywood’s most active charity ambassadors with the goal to bring awareness of nonprofits and their causes to the general public.
The Art of Elysium is a nonprofit that was founded in 1997 and encourages actors, musicians and artists to volunteer their time with children that have serious medical conditions. They provide a variety of workshops where these professionals can teach the children in acting, art, comedy, fashion, music, radio, songwriting and creative writing. Keep a Child Alive is a nonprofit that has been dedicated to eradicating HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. They provide life-saving medical treatment to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Do Something is an organization that empowers the youth in America to get off the couch and get involved in order to make a positive change in the world.
Check out the website for more information about the performances and festivities for that night. Celebrities are doing their part in giving back to the community, but they represent a small fraction of the population and now it’s our turn. If we all make a commitment to volunteer, even a little bit, we can enlighten countless lives.
