Don’t need convincing to come to the show?

Otherwise, feel free to read the article below…

July was so horribly unfunny. Honestly, all this talk about health care reform, imprisoned Burmese leaders and search engine deals? Booooo-rrring.

Is it just a coincidence that all this ho-hum unfunny business took place in a month without Causecast’s revolutionary comedy benefit, A Cause For Comedy? I’m going to take the obvious answer and say “absolutely not.” A Cause For Comedy is needed for the very sanity and wellbeing of optimists everywhere.

That’s why Causecast and MC Ben Morrison are proud to announce the return of the beloved and legendary comedy show, Thursday, August 27, at the world famous Hollywood Improv. The beneficiaries of August’s show will be Causecast organization Creative Visions Foundation, supporting “Creative Activists,” individuals who use the power of media and the arts to create positive change in the world.

August is also the chance for YOU to get involved in the comedy show. We want to know what you think a “Creative Activist” is. To answer that question, all you need to do is log on to Causecast.org, upload a video, photos, or write a blog post and tag it with C4C. Causecast will make a video mash-up to be shown on stage at A Cause for Comedy. Your message will be up there alongside hilarious comedians, including Eric Schwartz, Ben Gleib, Adam Richmond, Erin Foley, Hugh Moore and Nadine Rajabi.

Local Los Angeles residents are encouraged to buy tickets at the Improv website for $15. In addition to the $15 dollar ticket, there is a $100 ticket option, which will include a copy of the ground-breaking book, The Journey Is The Destination, a collection of stunning journal pages by Dan Eldon, signed by CVF founder Kathy Eldon. 100% of the net proceeds from ticket sales go straight to Creative Visions Foundation. For those unable to attend the event, Causecast will be live streaming the comedy show via our partners at Stickam and Huffington Post.

In preparation for this momentous event, Causecast is already establishing a brand new nonprofit, Nasal Milk, seeking to find a cure for milk coming out of one’s nose, a debilitating illness caused by the laughter often present in dangerous levels at A Cause For Comedy.

Anyone at the show who experiences symptoms of euphoria, hysteria, the painful Slapped Knee or the dreaded Busted Gut should immediately notify Causecast personnel, who will ease you of all possible laughter by showing you films by Judd Apatow. Nasal Milk is also, ironically, the name of my new band.

This month promises to be our best C4C show ever. Be there in person or online and donate!
