Brad Pitt For Mayor? WATCH the INTERVIEW!

by JONATHAN HARRIS, Managing Editor

Today‘s Ann Curry spoke with Brad Pitt recently about his work with Causecast organization Global Green USA and Make It Right raising money to rebuild homes in New Orleans, LA. He calls the area “the greenest neighborhood in America,” but they’ve barely scratched the surface of the problem: rebuilding the thousands of homes that were destroyed four years ago by Hurricane Katrina.

Pitt has been so involved in Katrina recovery efforts, and his popularity so widespread, that shirts and posters have begun to pop up in NOLA that read “Brad Pitt for Mayor.” Curry asked the actor if he would have any interest in pursuing the position. Pitt says he wouldn’t have a chance, since he’s running “on the gay marriage, no religion, legalization and taxation of marijuana platform.” Yeah…that might not fly too well as the mayor of a major city, but I bet that platform could help him win class president at San Diego State.

Radar Online interviewed Melba Leggett-Barnes, recipient of a new home and automatic Brad Pitt fan. See what she has to say about Pitt’s chances as a mayoral candidate.
