Support Invisible Children When You Buy Textbooks

by ERICA LIEPMANN, Causecast Editor
Summer is rapidly drawing to a close and the school year is quick on its heels. Time to prep for the transition back into dorm life and class schedules.
When you’re stocking up on all the necessities to tackle your course load, the campus bookstore’s inflated prices aren’t going to be kind to your wallet. Or your planet…
This year, Better World Books is teaming up with Causecast featured organization Invisible Children to bring you a money-saving and a world-saving approach to buying textbooks. Better World Books is an online bookstore that sells new and used books to fund literacy programs around the world. Through their work conducting book drives and collecting used books, the folks at Better World Books also save millions of used books from ending up among trash in landfills.
If you purchase your school books through betterworldbooks.com/invisible children, Invisible Children will receive ten percent of your purchase to help fund their work to educate and rehabilitate former child soldiers in Northern Uganda.
Choose from the selection of millions of books on the Better World Books website. If you live in the U.S., shipping is totally free on your order, or just $3.97 for international orders. These folks are eco-friendly too, so shipping is also carbon neutral. When your classes are done, you can also sell your books back on the site.
Now this is some back to school shopping you can really get into…enjoy!
