Scrubs’ dynamic duo, J.D. and Turk, aka Zach Braff and Donald Faison, aka the loves of my life, have something to say to young Americans. They’re teaming up with Rock The Vote for their health care campaign, urging young people to stand up for health care reform. As if I needed a reason to love them more!

In their Rock The Vote Ad, hitting televisions across America starting tonight, Braff and Faison stress the importance of affordable health care for everyone. They even explain some reasons you might need to head to the hospital and why it’s important to be insured (nipple surgery, afro-related injuries to name a few).

Did you know one in three Americans between ages 19 and 29 are uninsured? That’s why Rock The Vote is encouraging young people to speak out for reform. It’s time to flex your political muscle. (Speaking of flexing, not totally sure why Donald Faison is shirtless in the video? Not that I mind…)

What can you do?

On the Rock The Vote site, you’ll find all the info you need to get educated about national health care and some of its well…deficiencies. Once you’ve brushed up on the facts, it’s time for action.

Sign the pledge, make sure your voice is heard! The more our Congresspeople hear from us, the better. Also, check out Organizing for America for more ideas on how to spread the word and get out there as a volunteer for health care reform.

Keep up on the issues – tune in for President Obama’s Congressional Address about health care tonight on Causecast.

Last but certainly not least…pass on the ad to your friends, after all these guys are pretty funny. (I hope I’ve managed to keep it under wraps that I’m a fan?)
