Disney Offers Free Tickets For Volunteering

by ERICA LIEPMANN, Causecast Associate Editor
Starting January 2010, Disney is launching their Give A Day, Get A Disney Day campaign, encouraging people to get out and dedicate a day to volunteering. If you complete a day of service with one of Disney’s partner nonprofit organizations, they’re rewarding you with a free ticket to either Disneyland or Disney World.
Kind of reminds you of Causecast’s Voluntour, right? I guess with the President’s United We Serve campaign encouraging Americans to remember the value of community service, it’s no wonder everyone’s getting on board to encourage volunteering!
If you’re looking to get rewarded for volunteering with Disney tickets, just head over to their site and search for volunteer opportunities near you. Once you’ve tracked one down, get out there to make a difference in your community. After you’ve completed your volunteer day, you can redeem your ticket online. It’s like the perfect combination of two New Year’s resolutions – give back to the community more and have more fun! So round up your family and friends – you can volunteer together and go to the theme park together.
