Macy’s, in partnership with Feeding America, is campaigning to raise awareness for the 36.2 Americans who are unable to feed their families. The Come Together campaign aims to feed 10 million hungry Americans. Whatever your personality or your lifestyle may be, they’ve come up with a way you can get involved.

Here’s how it all works. You have three options:

HOST A PARTY

If planning events is your thing, then this one is for you. Host a party and make it your own; whether you prefer the casual homemade dinner or an extravagant night of music and dancing, this is your chance to use your creativity and raise awareness! Set a fundraising goal for how much you think your party can raise and Macy’s will match the donations you collect. You can collect a set amount from each guest at the door or create a game to see who can raise the most! Martha Stewart even has some tips for your party planning endeavors!

Working 40 hours a week or more may put a damper on our social lives, so if you feel exhausted just thinking about throwing a party, don’t worry, there is more than one way to make a difference. Take some advice from Donald Trump and give a little. Every $1 raised will provide a dinner to seven people! So, set down your latte and donate that $3 so that 21 hungry Americans can look forward to a substantial meal. Let your friends and family know about the Come Together Campaign, so they can donate too!

Fall is upon us and it’s time to bust out those cozy pea coats and throw those destroyed denim shorts in the back of your closet. If you’re feeling like I am, visions of new boots and blazers swirling around your head..it may be about time for a shopping spree! Well, here is a reason to go crazy! On October 17th, Macy’s is hosting Shop For A Cause. Purchase a $5 shopping card to help benefit food banks across the nation and you’ll receive savings when you shop at Macy’s stores or online.
