Every Friday, my roommate and I walk to Dagwood’s Pizza in Santa Monica and order a Kickin’ Chickin Pizza and a pitcher or two of beers. It’s as religious as we’re ever going to get (that or a pilgrimage to Chipotle, which is every two weeks). But two things have broken this sacred sect: my roommate’s working in the East Coast for the month of November and I took a vow of veganism until Thanksgiving. Sorry, Dagwoods and your delicious rotund of toasted perfection, I need to make other arrangements for the fortnight.

Now though the veganism has affected me dining on chicken and cheese, Beer is completely fair game, and I plan to down the suds with extreme prejudice. But while I’m at it, why not go for a more exotic beer? Maybe something seasonal. Maybe something organic. To show me some options, Net Green News went to the Oregon Brewers Festival this year to take a look at the green side of this year’s microbrew choices, so I’ll use this as homework for this week’s trip to my local pub.

Ever come across an awesome organic brew? Comment below what it was and where we can find it. I’ll be checking back and making a list…
