With Thanksgiving just days away, you’re probably on the hunt for some fabulous recipes. Well, this year, Martha Stewart’s bringing you vegetarian Thanksgiving recipes to make your holiday special.

That’s right, America’s premiere T.V. host is diving into the real issues behind factory farming and talking about the importance of reducing meat consumption, eating organic and revolutionizing our country’s mega-agribusiness system.

Martha interviewed Robert Kenner, the filmmaker behind Food, Inc., the recent film exposing the horrors of our nation’s food industry. Not afraid to take a stand, Martha was straightforward in her discussion of how meat is bad for our health and our environment. Looks like the food movement is going mainstream! Thanks, Martha.

Her veggie Thanksgiving recipes include:

Vegetarian Stuffing
Fall Casserole (with vegetables and orzo)
and some intriguing side dishes prepared by Chef Jeremy Fox (although be warned – brussels sprouts are involved!)

Check out all the recipes and video clips from the episode on Martha Stewart’s website.

If you’re especially on board with the vegetarian Thanksgiving, you can even adopt a turkey this holiday and give them a good life on Farm Sanctuary’s farms.
