    What you can do in response to Darfur and the Aid Expulsion What You Should Know:

    On 4 March 2009, the Government of Sudan announced the expulsion of 16 nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). The UN OCHA Humanitarian Country team in Sudan reports the following to result:

    • 1.5 million people will no longer have access to health and nutrition services.
    • Water supply, sanitation and hygiene to 1.16 million people will be interrupted.
    • 1.1 million people will stop receiving general food distribution.
    • Nearly 7,000 children receiving treatment for severe and moderate malnutrition will be interrupted.
    • Emergency shelter will immediately cease in 19 camps and locations in Darfur.

    What you can do:

    1. Everywhere: Text message Secretary Hillary Clinton: Write a text message about Darfur!

    CALL: 1-800-GENOCIDE till aid groups are back on the ground!

    2. LOS ANGELES, CA: Join JWW, Stop Genocide Now, HOPE, and other activist and citizens from Southern California TUESDAY March 17th in front of the Federal Building: 11000 Wilshire Blvd. LA, CA to demand immediate and decisive action by the US, the UN and the EU!.

    RALLY: Tuesday, March 17th: 4 - 8pm! Tell the press! Bring Signs! Possible slogans include:
