Project Angel Food is excited to announce that Divine Design 2008 will take place from December 4 - December 8, at 9900 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills (formerly Robinsons-May). Every year, this five-day shopping extravaganza attracts nearly 10,000 shoppers to a 50,000-square foot marketplace filled with merchandise donated by top designers and sold at charity prices. All proceeds directly support Project Angel Food's free meal-delivery program for men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Over 500 Volunteers donate their time and efforts and are an integral part of Divine Design's enormous success.
Volunteer opportunities begin with pre-event inventory and tagging (11/11 and 11/13), set-up on November 28, and go through the Opening Night Gala / VIP Shopping Party on December 4, and the four days of the Fashion/Home/Spa Marketplace (Dec. 5-8th), ending with the event break-down on December 9.
Registering is easy: simply go to www.divinedesign.org and select the Get Involved tab. Complete the registration form, indicating what dates/times you want to work and which orientation you will be able to attend. Volunteering for Divine Design is a fun way to contribute your time and see that our mission to feed over 1400 people a day living with terminal illness continues-- even grows!
