Park(ing) Day...KTLA covers Causecast
Los Angeles has the lowest parks to people ratio of any US city. On September 19, people kicked it on the curb to demonstrate the need for more green space. KTLA reported, and Causecast was there.

In the middle of Los Angeles' urban blight and poverty, there exists an oasis of sorts called St. Elmo Village. This non-profit organization has been in existence for nearly 40 years and it has been providing a place for people to explore and develop their creativity. St. Elmo Village also conducts free art workshops for kids and adults.

Slash On Youth Homelessness and the LAYN Rocks! Benefit Concert
Slash and friends join forces to battle youth homelessness in Los Angeles during the LAYN Rocks! benefit concert November 22 at the Avalon Hollywood. Hosted by comedian George Lopez, LAYN Rocks! will unite musical talents Slash, Ozzy Osbourne, Perry Farrell, Tom Morello, Billy Idol, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, Travis Barker, Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother, Dave Navarro, and many others for a night of great music and a step toward eradicating youth homelessness. The Los Angeles Youth Network (http://layn.org) is a volunteer driven nonprofit organization based on helping over 10,000 homeless adolescents become self-sufficient by providing shelter, food, and counseling for the abused, neglected, and abandoned. An incredible lineup of passionate artists has been recruited, linking social awareness and entertainment together under one roof.
