Know Your Rights: Univ. Dec. of Human Rights on US Passports
Nobel Peace prize-winning Aung San Suu Kyi, Prime Minister elect of Burma, has been censored, monitored and put under house arrest for the last 16 years by the military regime. Human rights are broken every day all over the world. Printing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, written by Eleanor Roosevelt and ratified by the U.N. in 1948, is the first step for everyone in the world to know and defend their rights.

Rachel Aliene Corrie (April 10, 1979 March 16, 2003) was an American member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) who traveled to the Gaza Strip during the Second Intifada. She was killed by a Caterpillar D9R armored bulldozer operated by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) during a protest against the destruction of Palestinian homes by the IDF in the Gaza Strip. Rachel was an unarmed peace activist trying to prevent the demolition of the home of a Palestinian pharmacist, his wife, and three children. She believed that nonviolent direct action against the Israeli occupation would make Palestinians, and also Israelis and Americans, more secure. Rachel stood there to protect a home and family in Gaza because the United States and Israel rejected a UN proposal to send international human rights monitors there. International activists went instead. Rachel stood there protesting illegal home demolitions that the United States opposes on the record yet fails to stop -- destruction that we support with billions in annual military aid to Israel for bulldozers, Apache helicopters, F-16s, and more. Give a Voice Back to Rural Hondurans
Several Honduran radio stations and other media outlets have come under attack in the wake of a military coup in June, which has resulted in the cancellation of many broadcasts, including Media Impact’s radio soap opera about healthy environmental practices. Over the course of the past year, PCI-Media Impact has been working with Red de Desarrollo Sostenible Honduras (Honduras Sustainable Development Network) to develop Agua de Ángel, a radio campaign that encourages rural Honduran communities to protect and conserve local water supplies. Now, the show is off the air as a result of the recent political turmoil, and Media Impact is determined to bring it back.
