A Single Father pleads for Autism support programs in California
Andy Fietz is a single father of a young son with autism. Andy left his job in the publishing business in order to devote all of his time to his son's unique care needs. With the help of the In-Home Supportive Services program, Andy is able to supervise his son's therapy and provide the constant redirection his son requires in order to stay out of harm's way. Andy sees his reliance on IHSS as a temporary situation and believes that in a few short years his son will be able to begin school with typical kindergarten supervision.
